TULLOW TOURING CLUB 2007
hosted its 11th Cycle on Sunday 26th August with 68 participants taking part. With beautiful sunshine all day it was one of the most enjoyable days to date. Many thanks to all our helpers on the day. Sponsor cards can be returned to John Lucas at J & J Services, Tullowbeg.

Tullow Fundraisers have been in existence for about ten years and each year John Lucas and their organising committee, organise a number of fundraising charity events such as a Golf Classic, A Sponsored Walk, A Sponsored Cycle and a number of other events primarily for The National Childrens Hospital but each year a number of local charities benefit from their fundraising efforts.
During the last week of April 2003 in spite of poor weather The Annual Golf Classic took place at The Mount Wolseley Golf and Country Club Tullow.
On the 4th of May 2003 the Annual Sponsored Walk took place. In spite of very heavy rain all day up to 200 people of all ages walked from Carlow to Tullow raising in the region of €12,000 to €15,000.
Well done to all who took part under such awful weather conditions.

THANK YOU: John Lucas would like to thank all who took part in the Ladies Walk which was held last Sunday. Despite the very bad weather conditions, 149 ladies took part. Thanks to the management at Top Filling Station, Walshes of Killerig, Slaney Hotel, Tullow who sponsored the refreshments, stewards and anyone who helped in any way. Cards and money to be handed into John Lucas, Hillbrook Estate or J. & J. Services.
TULLOW FUNDRAISERS
The Ladies Annual Walk held on May the 4th, moneys from this event has to date reached €8000, there are many more cards still to be returned.
The Annual Cycle will take place on 31st August over the same route as last year, more details later. All moneys to be returned to John Lucas at J&J services or 41 Hillbrook Estate.
The Annual Fundraising Cycle this year will be from Grangemockler to Tullow. The distance of the Cycle will be fifty miles. The Cycle will take place on Sunday 22nd August 2004.
Bus leaves the Squate Tullow on Sunday 22nd September at 9 a.m. sharp.
Cycle starts from the village of Grangemockler at 11 a.m. sharp.
Bicycles to be left in Chapel car park on Saturday 21st September by 4 p.m. for transport.

TULLOW FUNDRAISERS COLLECT €30,000 FOR CHARITIES IN 2003
2003 has been a very successful year for The Tullow Fundraisers Group. All of their efforts, good work, commitment, dedication, and energy saw the sum of €30,000 being raised for different charities.
The three major fundraising events during the year were the annual Golf Classic, the annual Sponsored Walk for ladies and the annual Cycle as well as a host of special fun events.
Over the years Tullow Fundraisers have supported The National Childrens Hospital Tallaght, St Lazerians Special School Carlow, Our Ladies Hospital for Sick Children Crumlin, St Lukes Rathgar, St Patricks School for Special Needs Kilkenny, St Lukes Hospital Kilkenny, The Cairdeas Centre Tullow, St Patricks Cheshire Home Tullow, Tullow Day Care Centre, Holy Angles Carlow, The Carlow Branch of the Alzheimers Society Tullow.
