The Grand Final of the 25th anniversary Carlow Tops 2003 took place in the Capt. William Murphy Memorial Hall Tullow before a capacity audience on Friday 9th May 2003. Rathnure and Tullow put on two fantastic and colourful one hour shows of music, song, dance, comedy, and drama that kept the audience electrified and spell-bound.
The adjudicator Mr Eddie Wymbery praised both shows for their energy, enthusiasm, and the quality of their entertainment saying that both shows were worthy of a place in any John Player Tops final of the past.
A member of the audience commented that now where could you get two hours of such high quality entertainment for €10
Rathnure were the overall winners taking the Siobhan O'Sullivan Perpetual Trophy and replica which was presented by Nicola Jackman to John Reilly the Rathnure Producer.
