Tullow Community Development Initiative
DIRECTORY OF LOCAL CLUBS and ORGANISATIONS 2006
Tullow Community Development Initiative (T.C.D.I.) is to publish a new directory of all clubs and organisations in the Tullow area. The new directory “Let's Join - a Directory of Clubs and Organisations in Tullow, Grange and Ardattin” will be distributed free of charge to all households in the Tullow area in November.
There are over 100 clubs and organisations in the Tullow, Grange and Ardattin area and each one is formally invited to have an entry in the new directory free of charge. Given that the population of the town has increased considerably in the past few years, the new directory should be of enormous interest to new and more established residents of Tullow, Grange and Ardattin. The type of information required is basic e.g. the name of club/organisation, contact person and phone number, when and where the activity takes place, membership fee and another relevant information.
An example of three entries for the directory are on displayed below.
Entries must be forwarded by October 20th 2006 to Tullow Parish Community Centre.EXAMPLE CLUB LISTINGS

Tullow Community Development Initiative (TCDI) has its beginnings in a public meeting held in 1996. A Community Development Plan for Tullow, Grange and Ardattin was drawn up. By identifying the skills and resources existing in the community it is hoped that growth in enterprise, employment, commercial and other areas will take place in conjunction with relevant bodies.
Each year T.C.D.I. have focused on one or two items from the development plan in order to move them further. One of these areas focus was the publication of a local tourist brochure.
