The Tullow Youth Project was founded by Fr. John Brickley in 1993 when Tullow Parish Purchased a building that once housed the Bishop of Kildare and Leighlin when he resided in Tullow. At that time in 1993 Fr. Brickley saw the need for a premises where young people could gather in a well supervised, secure environment free from the influence of cigarettes, drugs and alcohol.
At the Bishop House Tullow Youth Project there is a wide range of activities for the young people to participate in. Different age groups are assigned different times to use the houses facilities. Those using the facilities of the house include third and fourth class, fifth and sixth class primary school, and all years one to six in secondary education.
The photographs below show some of the various rooms in the house and also show some of the wall artwork presently being worked on by the senior members of the house.
