Tullow Grange ArdattinPARISH NEWSLETTERSunday 27th April 20086th Sunday of Easter“Anyone who receives my commandments and keeps them will be the one who loves me”
Today’s Gospel is taken from the passage describing the last supper. Jesus has just washed his disciples’ feet as a sign of his love for them. Now, as he says his farewell, he invites them to follow his example of love: “I give you a new commandment; love one another”.
All the commandments are summed up in the one commandment of love. In His words and actions, Jesus has shown us the way of love. When we live together in love, in our homes, families and communities, Jesus is present among us.
“If you love me,You will keep my commandments.”
PLEASE PRAY FOR Sydney Brown, Ballintemple, and Jeremiah OToole, Ballymurphy, who died during the week & Kathleen O Toole, late of Dublin Road, who died recently in England. |
