Jesus, in his life here on earth, and through his words and actions, has shown us the face of God.  He shows us a God of great compassion, mercy ad love.

In today’s Gospel, Jesus encourages his disciples to trust in him and follow his example.  By walking in his way, they will come to the Father.

We too, are invited to put our trust in God, our source of life, by walking in Jesus’ way

In the words of today’s psalm: “May your love be upon us, O Lord, as we place all our hope in you”.

EUCHARISTIC ADORATION:
Special Intentions for Tuesday 22nd and Wednesday 23rd April:  We remember the children receiving their First Holy Communion this weekend:  May they come to know love and serve Jesus in their lives.

 

FIRST HOLY COMMUNION: 
Next Sunday 27th April, the 2nd class children from the Girls and Boys Schools in Tullow will receive their First Holy Communion at the 11.30 a.m. Mass in the Parish Church.  Much of the seating in the Church will be reserved for the families concerned.  This may cause some crowding at the Mass.  We would, therefore, encourage families not involved in the First Communion to consider attending one of the other Masses in Tullow, Grange or Ardattin, if possible.

CHILDMINDERS START-UP PROGRAMME: 
Carlow County Childcare Committee will run the above course for Childminders or anyone considering childminding.  This course primarily focuses on setting up as a childminder in your own home.  It will run over two Saturdays, 26th April and 3rd May at St Catherine’s Community Services, Carlow.  No charge.  To book please contact Eilish on 059 9140244

ST PATS JUVENILE HURLING & FOOTBALL CLUB: 
The Club’s under 14 footballers start the season off with a game against Tinryland on Sat 26th in Tinryland at 6.00 p.m., and the under 16 footballers take on Clonegal at home on Fri. 25th at 7.00 p.m. All support welcome.  The Club is looking for any hurling helmets that are no longer used.  These would be greatly appreciated and can be dropped into James Connolly in the Boys National School.

TAI CHI AND CIRCLE DANCING
will continue in Forward Steps at 11.00 a.m. and Yoga in Teach Bhríde at 11.00 a.m. all thanks to the VEC for their funding.  Please note there will be no classes on the week commencing 28th April.

TULLOW ACTIVE RETIREMENT: 
Bowls are suspended with immediate effect.
Monday, 28th April the bus leaves at 9.30 a.m. for Cork.
Thursday, 24th April the bus leaves at 9.00 a.m. for the Dail.  Both leave from Church Car Park.
There are no classes the week of 28th April due to holidays. All classes resume Tuesday 6th May.

REHAB, CARLOW would like to thank all those who contributed so generously to our Church Gate Collection and also those who assisted as collectors at the various churches. 
€916.71 was total amount collected.

NOVELTY BINGO
on Monday, April 21st in the Day Care Centre.  Proceeds to benefit the young people who are travelling as helpers to Lourdes.  Donations of novelty items appreciated and same can be left at the Parish Centre.
