Tullow Grange ArdattinPARISH NEWSLETTERSunday 16th March 2008Passion Sunday
Let the King of Glory Enter
Christ enters Jerusalem to engage in the most dramatic and powerful week of his life. This week, which opens with such festivity, will see his Passion, Death and Resurrection. Christ’s entry into Jerusalem is more than anyone could have expected. He has come to do more than the prophecies told; he enters into the mystery of what it is to be human, to face death, to experience injustice, to know pain and betrayal, to lie dead in the arms of a mother who loved him … and then to change all these realities forever in the moment of his Resurrection!
Christ did not enter Jerusalem just that once. He enters all our Jerusalems … he enters into each of our lives, into all our hopes and dreams, into all our pains and hurts, into our moment of dying, into the fears within us. Christ enters the Jerusalem of the human heart today, to transform it forever by the mystery of his suffering, dying and rising again to new life.
