Oglaigh Naisiunta na hEireann Teoranta
The main object for which the Company is established is the welfare of exservice men and women by providing accommodation for homeless, elderly or disabled members in need of such domestic accommodation and shelter and any other assistance required.
The following are considered subsidiary objects to the above main aim:
a. To promote social, cultural and athletic activities.
b. To develop a spirit of comradeship between serving and retired members.
c. To foster public interest in Oglaigh na hEireann.
d. To maintain liaison with Ex-Service Men and Ex-Service Women’s Organisations in the European Union.
The very active J.G. O’Connor Branch in Tullow consists of 12 members. The members attend annual Masses by invitation around Ireland and their own annual Mass is held each November. Meetings are held in the Bridge House, Tullow.
